Alex Remiro, jury and speaker at the ‘Rompe el Círculo’ Awards

Álex Remiro, Real Sociedad goalkeeper, has participated as a member of the jury in the II Edition of the ‘Rompe el Círculo’ Awards, organized by the High Commissioner against Child Poverty of the Government of Spain. The awards recognize organizations, companies and individuals who have achieved, through their projects, studies or innovations, substantial changes in the fight against child poverty in Spain.

The event, held at the National Music Auditorium, was attended by, in addition to Álex Remiro, organizations such as UNICEF, Fundación La Caixa or Save The Children. Álex Remiro participated and debated, together with a jury of experts, those best valued initiatives.

Ernesto Gasco, High Commissioner against Child Poverty, highlighted the role of Álex Remiro and his social commitment, as well as his participation in the awards. Álex Remiro started an emotional well-being project in youth football in Gipuzkoa in January, where, together with a team of experts and psychologists, they offer emotional management tools to clubs in Gipuzkoa.

The project, managed together with the NGO Soccer MoreThe objective of this first year is to work with 50 clubs, 2,500 boys and girls and 1,250 families. Each of the participating clubs receives a theoretical guide, three face-to-face workshops are given and an interactive online course is offered.
