Álex Márquez Surprisingly Tops MotoGP Test in Sepang Ahead Marc

Álex Márquez was pleased with the conclusion of the third day of MotoGP testing in Sepang. He finished at the top of the standings, a position he also held in Barcelona in November. Márquez is satisfied with his Ducati GP24 and feels confident, even when compared to his brother Marc or Pecco Bagnaia. When asked about his test, he rated it an “8 and a half.”

The three days of testing went well for Márquez, with the first two days being solid and the last day being very good. He tried some new things in the morning and maintained a good pace, which is important for building his “feeling” or sensations on the motorcycle. Márquez also noted that his rhythm was good, which is crucial for a strong return. He mentioned that seeing the times of other riders, such as Pecco, motivated him to push harder and finish at the top.

Márquez came close to setting a record time, and he was pleased with his performance. He noted that everyone had given their all during the test, and he was happy to have finished at the top. Márquez emphasized the importance of having a good rhythm and being consistent, which he believes is key to success.

The Ducati GP24 has been a factor in Márquez’s success, as he feels it is better suited to his riding style. He believes that the motorcycle responds well to his requests and allows him to make mistakes without punishing him. This, he says, is the mark of a good motorcycle. Márquez feels that he has a good understanding of the GP24 and is able to extract 100% of its potential, which is a promising sign for the upcoming season.
