Actor and stand-up comedian Alex Duong died on Saturday at the age of 42. His death ends a brutal, year-long battle with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. The rare and aggressive soft tissue cancer ravaged his body and ultimately led to fatal septic shock. Duong passed away at 11:00 a.m. in Santa Monica, California.
He was surrounded by family and loved ones in his final moments. Fellow actor and close friend Hilarie Steele was by his side. Duong was a rising talent in the entertainment industry, widely recognized for his memorable guest role as Sonny Le on the hit CBS procedural “Blue Bloods”.
