Fermin Aldeguer Wins Moto2 Race in Germany
German Moto2 riders Fermin Aldeguer, Sam Lowes, and Augusto Fernandez completed the podium.
The Moto2 race in Germany featured a thrilling contest between the top contenders, with Aldeguer securing his third win of the season and reducing his gap to the championship leader, Sergio García Dols.
Aldeguer, who trails García Dols by 39 points, was impressive throughout the race, staying ahead of Lowes and Fernandez. García Dols, who started eighth, fought hard to finish seventh, ahead of his teammate Lorenzo Baldassarri.
Meanwhile, Ogura, who began the race second, dropped down to fifth but still managed to leave with points.
The temperature remained fresh with 20 degrees of air and 31 on the asphalt, with occasional clouds and wind.
In the race, Dixon led initially, only to be overhauled by Aldeguer and Vietti. García Dols had a strong start and climbed to ninth place on the first lap.
Arbolino went on the attack and overtook Aldeguer, Lowes, and Fernández. Ogura attempted to keep pace with García Dols and Vietti, who were driving cautiously due to their tire woes.
The Murcian rider replied with Aldeguer’s comeback after Arbolino attacked once more. The situation remained unpredictable, with Moreira’s spectacular comeback and other unexpected riders.
Aldeguer ultimately claimed victory, with a strong start and impressive speed throughout the race.
