Al-Ahly retains title against Kaizer Chiefs and is African champions for 10th time

Al-Ahly’s Egyptians reinforced their status as the greatest power in African football today, winning the continent’s Champions League for the 10th time, with a 3-0 victory over South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs.

In Casablanca, Morocco, in the final of the 57th edition of the competition, Mohamed Sherif opened the scoring, in the 53rd minute, and watched for the goals of Mohamed Magdi Kafsha, in the 64th, and Amr Al Sulaya, in the 74th, in the game Happy Moshiane was booked and was sent off, which left the South Africans with 10 players of 45+3 mins.

Al-Ahly had already won the competition nine times, in 1982, 1987, 2001, 2005, 2006, 2008, 2012, 2013, and 2020.
