Good news for movie buffs! The highly anticipated film ‘Jolly LLB 3’ has officially gotten the green light for its release. The Allahabad High Court recently offered a huge sigh of relief to the team behind the movie, especially stars Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi.
Fans have been buzzing about ‘Jolly LLB 3.’ It’s being called the biggest film yet in this popular franchise, building on the success of its predecessors. But before the big screen debut, some real-life lawyers hit a sour note. They weren’t too happy, and the whole situation landed in court.
Lawyers had filed petitions specifically targeting the film’s song, “Bhai Vakil Hai.” They also asked the court to put a complete stop to the movie’s release. However, the court has now dismissed these petitions, clearing the path for the film.
No Objectionable Content Found
The Allahabad High Court made it clear that ‘Jolly LLB 3’ is free to release. A bench, including Justice Sangeeta Chandra and Justice Brij Raj Singh, heard the petitions. They firmly refused to halt the film’s release. The court stated that they found nothing objectionable in the song lyrics, the film’s trailer, or its teaser. This directly countered the petitioners’ claims that the content defamed the legal community. Therefore, the court ruled that the film’s release could not be blocked.
What the Petitioners Wanted
The lawyers who filed the petitions had quite a list of demands. They asked the court to stop the release of ‘Jolly LLB 3’ altogether. They also wanted the song “Bhai Vakil Hai” removed and the film’s CBFC certification canceled. On top of that, they requested that the filmmakers apologize for allegedly misrepresenting lawyers and the judiciary. The petitioners argued that the film’s promos undermined the dignity of lawyers. They felt it would even discourage students from joining the legal profession. But, as mentioned, the Allahabad High Court didn’t see it that way and rejected their plea.
So, with all the legal drama settled, Akshay Kumar’s film can now move forward without any hurdles. ‘Jolly LLB 3’ is the third installment in the much-loved courtroom comedy-drama series. Subhash Kapoor is back in the director’s chair for this one. Besides Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, the movie also features Saurabh Shukla and Huma Qureshi in important roles. Mark your calendars! The film is all set to hit theaters on September 19.
