South Indian actor Ajith Kumar’s Chennai home was recently the target of a bomb threat. Police and a bomb disposal squad responded to the superstar’s residence in Injambakkam.
An anonymous individual allegedly made the threat. Authorities conducted a thorough search of the premises and surrounding area.
No explosives were found during the inspection. Police officials later declared the threat a hoax or rumor.
This incident follows a similar bomb threat received by actor Arun Vijay. His home in Ekkattuthangal was also investigated after an email alleged explosives were present.
That threat also proved to be false, with no explosive materials discovered by police and bomb disposal teams.
The Chennai police are intensifying investigations into the source of these continuous threats targeting celebrities. This trend includes other high-profile figures.
In October, musician Ilaiyaraaja’s T Nagar studio faced a similar false bomb alert. Other notable personalities like Rajinikanth, Dhanush, Vijay, Trisha, and Nayanthara have reportedly received comparable threats.
