The Dutchman served as Ronald Koeman’s assistant at FC Barcelona this season and will sign a two-year contract with the option of a third.
Ajax, who have just been crowned Eredivisie champions, will announce Alfred Schreuder in the coming weeks. The 49-year-old Dutchman has been coaching Club Brugge in Belgium since January this year and has a current record of 14 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses. He is the leader of the Pro League and will have his third chance as the head coach of a professional team (he also managed Hoffenheim). He was an assistant at Ajax under Erik Ten Hag.
