Ajax chooses Ten Hag’s replacement: An old Barcelona acquaintance

As reported by the Dutch journalist Mike Verweij, the Ajax Amsterdam has chosen alfred schreuder as their next manager for next season due to the departure of Erik Ten Hag, who will be Manchester United’s manager. The Dutchman served as Ronald Koeman’s assistant at FC Barcelona this season and will sign a two-year contract with the option of a third.

Ajax, who have just been crowned Eredivisie champions, will announce Alfred Schreuder in the coming weeks. The 49-year-old Dutchman has been coaching Club Brugge in Belgium since January this year and has a current record of 14 wins, 3 draws and 2 losses. He is the leader of the Pro League and will have his third chance as the head coach of a professional team (he also managed Hoffenheim). He was an assistant at Ajax under Erik Ten Hag.
