Aishwarya Rai Petitions Delhi HC Over Unauthorized AI-Generated Image Use

A familiar face in the world of entertainment has stepped into a courtroom. Actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan recently approached the Delhi High Court. She is looking for protection against companies using her AI-generated images without her permission.

Ms. Bachchan claims that various products are unfairly using computer-made pictures of her. These images are popping up on things like coffee mugs and other merchandise. She stated clearly that these fake, intimate images were never of her. They are all creations of artificial intelligence.

These companies are using her likeness for commercial gain. They do this without asking her first. She is asking the court to protect her “personality rights.” This means keeping her image and name safe from unauthorized use for business purposes.

Her career began in 1997 with the film ‘Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya’. Since then, she has graced many popular movies. Beyond her films, she is also a famous brand ambassador for many companies. She earns a significant income from these advertisements. The actress argues that the products using her AI-generated images never bothered to get her approval.
