AirPods Pro 2 will have heart rate sensor and earphone

Apple’s next-generation TWS Bluetooth earphones are expected to debut in September. Apparently the Apple AirPods Pro 2 they are in the pipeline and, according to leaks, they will be smarter than ever. However, its design should remain virtually unchanged from the current generation.

Coming (probably) this coming September, these high-end wireless earphones will have a new internal processor, System-in-Package (SiP), as well as the H1 chip that will support dynamic active noise cancellation technology. In other words, depending on the ambient noise conditions, the noise canceling will automatically adapt its operation.

According to the report from the 52Audio publication, Apple will have to update most of the internal components of the AirPods Pro. In fact, the new internal SiP (processor) as well as the H1 control chip are expected to provide better technology of dynamic noise cancellation to respond to different everyday scenarios.

However, the main improvements will be in the “greater integration (with Apple products), as well as in the construction technology of the headphones,” the publication notes. In short, more and better connectivity options and better build quality.

The report also points to better “Find My” functionality, as well as new features like heart rate monitoring from headphones. This will be possible, the source notes, thanks to a new heart rate sensor built into the earphones.

Also, the new carrying and charging case will adopt the USB Type-C connection. Apparently, this will be the new connection standard for upcoming Apple gadgets. Furthermore, future iPhones are expected to use this port as well.

As we can see from the images above, there are few differences between the current AirPods Pro and the supposed second generation of the product. The main differences are present in the transport box, especially on the side and bottom of it.

The earphones have the same shape and the same range of pressure sensors on the outside. That is, we have a form of control similar to the current generation, based on touches and gestures on the external surface of the headset.

The “Hearing Aid” or hearing aid mode can, for example, amplify dialogue or ambient sound if the user has a hearing difficulty, or a progressive hearing loss. To do this, the headphones will use their microphones, generating an amplified signal.

This feature can be extremely useful for a good part of the population, especially in the higher age groups. Please note, however, that at the moment we do not have confirmation of any of these details.

Finally, we believe, based on recent leaks, that Apple will introduce the AirPods 2 Pro at its next event in September.
