Argentine striker Sergio Agüero joined training with the Barcelona squad on Monday after two months of recovery from a muscle injury, so he is getting closer to making his debut in his new team.
The “Kun” trained at the Joan Gamper Sports City with the main group under the orders of the Dutch coach Ronald Koeman after two months of rehabilitation work. Agüero suffered a tendon injury to the inner calf of his right leg on August 9 in his early days, after participating in the Copa América with the Argentine national team. For this reason, he had not been available to the coach since before the Gamper Trophy, the friendly that marks the presentation of the Catalan squad for next season.
Agüero completed a part of the team’s first training session with French Ousmane Dembélé for next Sunday’s game against Valencia at the Camp Nou stadium for Spanish LaLiga. If he can complete the week without discomfort, “Kun” could be included in the squad list. Otherwise, it will point him to the Champions League commitment against Dinamo Kiev, on Wednesday 20, or the classic against Real Madrid, which will be played on Sunday 24 at the Camp Nou.
