A Hindu organization in Agra has announced a reward of 20 lakh rupees for slapping a Bollywood superstar who hurt people’s feelings by playing the role of a messenger of Lord Shiva. On the other hand, Rashtriya Hindu Parishad Bharat burned effigy of Akshay Kumar and posters of the film on Thursday, saying they would not shy away from even performing outside theaters. Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2 earned just 10 crore rupees on the first day of its release.
Akshay Kumar, who plays Lord Shiva’s messenger, was honored by the organization’s president, Govind Parashar, for slapping the actor in the face. He claimed Akshay apparently offended Lord Shiva by having cobwebs in his shoes. Bathing in a dirty pond and wearing a sari in the film, all these things blur the image of God. There are many people who criticize the film, calling it a sin of playing with emotions.
“OMG” was released in 2012 and made a lot of money at the box office due to its powerful story. At the same time, the sequel to this film, OMG 2, was released in cinemas. Although the pre-order of this film from Akshay has been slow.
