Felgueiras found their first win of the season when they hosted Lus. Lourosa. Now, they aim to keep that good feeling going. This Saturday at 11 AM, they will again play at home, this time against Benfica B. Coach Agostinho Bento spoke about the match, promising his team will play with his spirit, always looking for another win.
Bento knows the challenge ahead. “We face an opponent who caused us many problems last season,” he said. “This is a team that is rebuilding, and they have a lot of talent.” Benfica B hasn’t won yet this season, but they have played some very exciting games. Because their team is so new, the recent break in the league might have helped them more than it helped Felgueiras.
Despite the tough opponent, the coach is clear about his team’s mission. “We expect a difficult game, but we are playing at home,” Bento explained. “We must approach it like it’s our last game, compete hard, and play to win. That is the only way we know how to play.” He stressed that a draw would never be enough for them. “We will be brave, even knowing we will face challenges, and I am sure it will be a good game.”
The recent league break gave the team time to improve. “It mainly helped us fix a few things that weren’t perfect,” Bento noted. Even with the last win, he felt the final 20 minutes against Lus. Lourosa weren’t as strong as the impressive first 70 minutes. The pause also helped new players join the team. However, there was a downside. “Sadly, we could not get Feliz Vaz and Landinho back on the field,” he shared. “That is the only bad part of this break, as they are two vital players for our team.”
