The entertainment world is buzzing with a worrying trend: some fan loyalties are turning toxic. The latest to speak out is actor Pratham, who recently told Bengaluru Police about a shocking encounter. This incident adds fuel to an already simmering controversy involving fans of South actor Darshan.
Pratham described a scary moment on the road. He said a group of Darshan’s fans stopped his car. They reportedly treated him badly and used harsh words. Their anger stemmed from Pratham speaking out against Darshan. This happened as Pratham was driving home from a temple visit in Doddaballapur Taluk, near Bengaluru. Police are now looking into his complaint, though a formal First Information Report (FIR) has not been filed yet.
This isn’t the first time Darshan’s fanbase has been in the spotlight for the wrong reasons. Just recently, actress and politician Ramya, also known as Divya Spandana, went to the police. She had faced a barrage of online threats, including threats of rape and death, from Darshan’s supporters for days. Bengaluru Police officially registered her complaint on Tuesday, after she approached them on Monday. Many other actors quickly stepped forward to support Ramya, showing a united front against such aggressive behavior. The repeated complaints from different actors against the same group of fans are making this situation increasingly complicated.
For those unfamiliar, Pratham is a well-known face in the industry. He is an actor and also won the fourth season of “Bigg Boss Kannada.” His acting credits include films like “Kwatle Satisha,” “MLA,” “Raju Kannada Medium,” “Karnataka Aliya,” and “First Night With Devva.”
