After MP, ‘The Kerala Story’ is now also duty-free in UP, CM Yogi announced

: The film ‘The Kerala Story’ has been released in theaters, although the film is mired in controversy before and after its release. While many states have banned the film, ‘The Kerala Story’ has been made duty free in many states. After Madhya Pradesh now ‘Kerala Story’ is also duty free in Uttar Pradesh.

CM Yogi Adityanath has tweeted that the Uttar Pradesh government will declare the recently released film ‘The Kerala Story’ as duty-free in the state. The Chief Minister’s Secretariat said that the Uttar Pradesh CM along with his cabinet colleagues can watch the film at a special screening to be held at Lok Bhawan.

We report that UP BJP Secretary Raghavendra Mishra recently showed the film to 100 students in Lucknow. With this, Uttar Pradesh has become the second state after Madhya Pradesh to make the controversial film ‘tax free’.

Last year, ‘Samrat Prithviraj’, starring Akshay Kumar, was also seen in a special screening after UP CM declared the film tax-free in the state.

Let us tell you, the film has the support of the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Prime Minister had called for it during his election rally in Karnataka. Prime Minister Modi told an election rally in Ballari: “The film ‘The Story of Kerala’ tries to highlight the consequences of terrorism on a society, especially in a state like Kerala, which is a beautiful land of hard-working, talented and intellectual”. The Congress party is now trying to ban the film and support the terrorist elements.”
