After blocking Instagram, Russia launches cheeky clone called Rossgram

Russia’s attack on Ukraine caused many popular internet services to leave the country or be blocked.

Many of these bans affect networks and services that are not particularly popular in Russia. Few people use Google or Facebook, as the Yandex search engine or the VKontakte social network are more popular there.

Although, an exception is Instagram. The Meta-owned network enjoyed great popularity in Russia, and the platform ban was bad news for many influencers.

Since then, users and influencers have been looking for an alternative and now it has arrived. His name is Rossgram and not only the name reminds of the famous network, but also Rossgram is a shameless clone of Instagram.

It’s a very intuitive app, mainly because it’s basically a 1:1 copy of Instagram — even the colors are the same.

Rossgram claims it has “Russian servers and data centers”, stressing that it can be used without VPN and other restrictions.
