Riyadh: After a 14-hour long operation in Saudi Arabia, the girls were separated.

Arab media Reports According to , a long operation to separate the two Nigerian girls, Hasna and Hasina, who were connected to the torso, started on Thursday morning in Saudi Arabia, which has been successfully completed today and the two girls got a new life.

The operation was performed at the King Abdullah Specialized Children’s Hospital in Riyadh.

According to the report, a team of 35 doctors and medical experts participated in this operation.

According to Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Rabiyyah, who is in charge of the surgical team and supervisor general of the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center, the operation lasted for 14 hours and consisted of eight stages.

The twin girls were born in 2022 with conjoined stomachs, livers, intestines, urinary and reproductive systems and bones.

Dr. Al-Rubia said that Thursday’s operation is the 56th such case in the kingdom since 1990. It should be noted that the two girls were brought from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia in December last year on humanitarian grounds.
