After a 12-day hiatus, Russian drone strikes in Kiev

Ukraine claims Russia has resumed drone strikes in Kiev. After a break of 12 days, this attack started again.

A military officer of the country claimed this on Sunday. Reuters news

The Ukrainian military official said that the country’s air defense system initially resisted the Russian attack.

“Another enemy attack on Kiev,” Colonel General Serhii Popko, head of Kiev’s military administration, said in a post on the Telegram channel.

He said, ‘There is no information about possible casualties or damage at this time.’

Reuters reported that witnesses heard what sounded like an air defense system hitting the target. However, there was no immediate information on the scale of the attack.

An airstrike warning was in place for about an hour in the capital and central and eastern Ukrainian regions after 2 a.m. local time in Kyiv.
