Young Portuguese forward Afonso Moreira scored his first goal for Olympique Lyon on Thursday, contributing to a 2-0 Europa League victory over Basel.
The 20-year-old striker netted Lyon’s second goal of the match. This marked his debut score for the French club in his eighth appearance.
The game was part of the third round of the Europa League’s regular phase. Moreira is also a Portugal U-21 international.
He previously played for Portuguese side Sporting.
