Afonso Eulálio Finishes 12th in Stage 3 of Tour of the Alps Cycling Race

Afonso Eulálio finished 12th in the Tour of the Alps’ third stage, clocking in 19 seconds behind stage winner Marco Frigo.
The Italian rider, 25, from Israel-Premier Tech, covered the 145.5-kilometer stretch from Sterzing to Innichen in 3:47:10 hours, crossing the line solo.
Eulálio was part of the first chase group, and his strong performance propelled him 19 spots up the overall standings to 42nd place.
Michael Storer holds the top spot. Eulálio trails the Australian rider by over 18 minutes.
The Tour of the Alps continues tomorrow with a 162.7-kilometer stage from Sillian to Obertilliach. The grueling route promises another high-mountain showdown.
