Afghanistan set a goal of 148 runs to Pakistan, Nabi played the captaincy innings

In the Super 12 match of the 2021 T20 World Cup, Afghanistan gave Pakistan a goal of 148 runs after playing first. In this match being played in Dubai, Afghanistan had decided to hit first after winning the toss, but initially this decision by captain Mohammad Nabi seemed to be wrong, as Afghanistan lost all six wickets by just 76 runs. However, after this, Nabi and Gulbadin Naib shared an undefeated 71-run partnership for the seventh wicket. In this way, Afghanistan scored 147 runs for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs.

For Afghanistan, Gulbadin Naib scored 35 no-outs on 25 balls with the help of four fours and a six. At the same time, Captain Nabi played a 35-not-out 32-ball inning with the help of five fours. For Pakistan, Imad Wasim took two wickets for just 25 runs in his four overs.

By choosing to hit after winning the toss, Afghanistan got off to a very poor start. In the second over, Hazratullah Jazai was fired without opening the account. Following this, Mohammad Shahzad was also fired after scoring eight runs in the third over. At the same time, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Asghar Afghan were fired after scoring 10-10 runs. Along with this, Karim Janat scored 15 runs on 17 balls and Najibullah Zadran scored 22 runs on 21 balls.
