Afghanistan: Blast inside mosque during Friday prayers, 50 killed

KUNDUZ: At least 50 people were killed and 100 others injured in an explosion inside a mosque during Friday prayers in the Afghan city of Kunduz.

According to details, an explosion took place inside a mosque in Kunduz, Afghanistan, as a result of which 50 people were killed and 100 others were injured.

Afghan media say the blast inside a mosque in Kunduz took place during Friday prayers. Eyewitnesses said they were praying when they heard the blast.

Afghan Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid confirmed the blast and said that several people were killed and wounded in the incident. The Taliban special forces have started investigation into the attack.

A bomb blast near the Eid Gah mosque in the Afghan capital, Kabul, on October 3 killed at least two people and injured several others.
