Afghan women footballers begin training

According to the news agency Reuters, after the Taliban came to power, Afghan women footballers who took refuge in Portugal have started football training in Lisbon.

Afghan women footballers are happy to once again have the opportunity to play football and stay in the country of the famous soccer player Cristina Ronaldo.

It should be noted that Afghan women footballers along with their families reached Pakistan from Afghanistan via Torkham on September 15 and in this regard, the government of Pakistan had issued visas to a total of 115 people.

After a few days in Pakistan, the Afghan women footballers managed to reach Portugal with their families.

During their rule in Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001, the Taliban banned women from participating in sports or watching matches, and the Taliban have so far shown no willingness to do so.
