Adrián Marín, the Spanish ‘bargain’ who plays in Portugal

Adrian Marin is a 25-year-old Spanish midfielder and winger who last season was part of the Famalicao Portuguese. The Portuguese club has, as reported Brand, until May 30 to exercise the purchase option of 1.5 million for a player who has been instrumental in Famalicao’s meritorious 9th position, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists in 29 games. His main position is inside left, although he also plays as a left back and, sporadically, as a center back. The player is, if nothing changes in the next 48 hours, owned by the Grenadeteam recently relegated to La Liga Smartbank.

Adrián Marín began his career in Villarreal’s prolific academy. After 3 years in the Yellow Submarine he packed his bags at just 19 years old heading to Leganés on loan for the 2016/2017 campaign. After a campaign at Villarreal in which he had little participation, he went out as a free agent to Alavés, and from there to Granada, in which he did not have the confidence of the coaches either. Portugal has been the place where Adrián Marín has brought out all the football that he has inside.

Mallorca and Rayo, after Adrián Marín

Both the vermilion team (with the departure of Brian Oliván to Espanyol) and Rayo Vallecano (with the more than possible departure of Fran García to Real Madrid) would be quite interested in undertaking the signing of the Spaniard, who was an under-21 international in a chance. What seems clear is that, if the player ends up in Granada, the Smartbank League will be too small for him.
