Adobe is pushing the boundaries of artificial intelligence with its latest innovation: agentic AI. This technology is all about creating agents that can converse, act, and solve complex problems. The idea is to give people more control and free up their time so they can focus on what really matters.
The goal is to empower people to unlock new perspectives and amplify their impact. As Adobe puts it, “AI agents aren’t creative, but they can empower people to unlock new perspectives and scale their impact like never before.”
Here’s how agentic AI is being integrated into Adobe’s key products:
Agentic AI in Action
Adobe is incorporating agentic AI into several of its products, including:
- Adobe Acrobat: With over 650 million active monthly users and three trillion PDF documents in circulation, Acrobat is set to integrate personalized agents that can act as sales assistants, research assistants, or even academic tutors. The Acrobat AI Assistant is just the beginning.
- Adobe Express: Adobe wants to go beyond templates, allowing anyone to create high-impact visual content through a collaborative agent that guides the entire design process. This will enable users to generate multichannel campaigns, animated videos, or digital brochures with just a simple voice or text instruction.
- Creative Cloud and Photoshop: Over 75% of Photoshop users already rely on Firefly-powered features. Agentic AI will take this to the next level by recommending edits, executing actions automatically, or teaching users new skills through a new Actions panel.
- Premiere Pro: Adobe’s video editing tool is also getting an agentic AI boost. The company has already launched Media Intelligence, which automatically recognizes visual and audio content in clips. In the future, an agent will be able to suggest initial edits, color correction, or audio mixing, freeing editors from repetitive tasks and helping them focus on the narrative.
Putting AI at the Service of Creators
Adobe is committed to making AI a tool that serves creators, not the other way around. With Firefly, the company has already demonstrated its commitment to safe, ethical, and useful AI. Now, with agentic AI, Adobe is taking it a step further by creating an intelligent framework that understands the user, learns from their feedback, and helps them accelerate their projects without losing creative control.
The vision is clear: a future where AI doesn’t replace human talent, but amplifies it.
