Adipurush in legal trouble for hurting religious feelings

The creators of the Bollywood film Adipurush are being sued for hurting religious sentiments. This news comes just a few days after the release of the first teaser.

Creators have been requested to remove certain scenes within seven days, otherwise legal action will be taken. The message also mentions that the film is the “Islamization” of the Ramayana.

The disclaimer reads as follows: “The way Hindu gods and goddesses are portrayed in this film is not good. The Hindu gods and goddesses are misshapen, dressed in leather clothing and speak indecently. In fact, the language spoken in this film is very low level. This hurts religious sentiments.”

“Dialogues and images are used that spread religious hatred and caste hatred. Ramayana is our story, but in Adipurush, Lord Hanuman is depicted as a Mughal. What Hindu wears a beard without a mustache as they show Lord Hanumanji? “

“The film will spread hatred among a certain class by stirring up religious sentiments in the country. These images are widely shared on the Internet, which is very harmful to our society and our country.”

“You are making a film that hurts the feelings of millions of Hindus. They are asked not to play with people’s feelings, not to stigmatize people’s beliefs, and to show the film as told in Ramayana and RamcharitManas.”

The manufacturers have not yet responded.

Adipurush will be released in January 2023.
