That the new Sports Law be modernized and adapted to the new times. That is the goal that the Spanish Sports Association, ADESP, has been working on in recent months.
Until now, ADESP has proposed numerous measures that have already been included in the document approved by the Council of Ministers, and now, just before the Law enters the parliamentary process for final approval, the Association’s Board of Directors has worked on a new package of proposals. In total there are 19 new measures that ADESP is going to present to the political parties in the coming weeks. Many of them are related to licences, sports insurance, the names of the Spanish championships or the rights of athletes.
For José Hidalgo, President of ADESP, “we are satisfied because the Law includes many of the proposals that we have been working on, although everything can be improved. That is why we have decided to propose a new package with 19 measures that we will analyze now with the political parties”.
ADESP is holding regular meetings with the main groups of the parliamentary arch -PSOE, PP, Vox, Ciudadanos and Podemos- and will continue to work with them in the coming weeks to continue building a new Sports Law from the consensus of all agents.
