The newest season of ‘Quién es la Máscara’ kicked off with a huge surprise. Viewers gasped during the premiere on Sunday, October 12. The celebrity hiding inside the “Shiba Moon” costume was finally revealed. And who was it? None other than the beloved TV host, Adamari López.
The chant of “Off with the mask, off with the mask” filled the air. The team of celebrity investigators was completely stunned. Nobody had guessed that the Puerto Rican presenter was behind the elaborate outfit. Even Carlos Rivera, the singer and judge, was surprised. He exclaimed, “No, it can’t be Adamari López. We totally missed that. It’s a wonderful surprise to have you here. You know I love you.”
Adamari López, the popular host now 54 years old, was equally amazed. She truly couldn’t believe her identity remained a secret. “They had no clue,” she shared with a laugh. “I had so much fun during the show. It was a truly wonderful experience for me.” She also spoke about her joy in joining ‘Quién es la Máscara.’ Singing on live television was something she had never done before. “It’s so cool that it caught them off guard,” she added, clearly thrilled.
Carlos Rivera is not alone on the investigative panel. Social media star Juanpa Zurita also joins him. Anahí Puente returned for another season, bringing her sharp insights. Actress Ana Brenda Contreras is a new addition this year. She took the spot of Martha Higareda, who is expecting twins.
Unmasking the Mystery: How the Show Works

Each Sunday brings a new reveal on ‘Quién es la Máscara.’ Eighteen new characters will take the stage throughout the season. They all wear incredible costumes. Each celebrity tries to perform their best. They sing, dance, and act. The goal is to give as few clues as possible to the watchful investigators. At the end of each episode, one masked star will be asked to remove their disguise. Their performance decides who stays and who goes.
This season introduces some fresh twists to the game. The popular “Save Me” button works differently now. It won’t put another contestant at risk anymore. Instead, characters who get a second chance simply keep their masks on. They continue competing for another week. Producer Miguel Ángel Fox also highlighted a cool new feature: Artificial Intelligence. AI won’t just help with clues. It will create amazing new visual worlds for each character. This promises to make the show even more exciting for viewers.
