Actor Mukul Dev Passes Away At 54

Mukul Dev’s sudden passing has sent shockwaves through the Hindi film industry. The 54-year-old actor, known for his roles in films like ‘Son of Sardar’, ‘R… Rajkumar’, and ‘Jai Ho’, leaves behind a legacy of memorable performances. His brother, Rahul Dev, took to Instagram to share the news of Mukul’s demise, along with a photograph and a heartfelt message.

The final rites for Mukul Dev will be performed at 5 pm today in Delhi. Rahul Dev’s post read, “We are saddened to inform you that our brother Mukul Dev passed away last night in New Delhi. He is survived by his daughter, Sia Dev, and will be deeply missed by his family, including his brother Rahul Dev and nephew Siddharth Dev.”

Mukul Dev’s friend and actress Deepshikha Nagpal was among the first to confirm the news on social media, sharing a throwback picture with a simple “RIP” message. Mukul’s last appearance was in the Hindi film ‘Ant The End’, alongside Divya Dutta.

Born in New Delhi to a Punjabi family, Mukul’s introduction to the world of entertainment came when he was in the 8th grade, performing a Michael Jackson imitation on a Doordarshan dance show. He went on to train as a pilot at the Indira Gandhi National Flying Academy.

Mukul’s acting career began with the television series ‘Mumkin’ in 1996, and he later hosted the first season of ‘Fear Factor India’. His film debut was in ‘Dastak’, where he played ACP Rohit Malhotra, alongside former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, who was also making her film debut.
