Activities of the exhibition ‘Guillo Pérez: masterpieces of a collector’ continue

The Ministry of Culture continues this Tuesday 23 with the development of the program of complementary cultural activities to the exhibition “Guillo Pérez: masterpieces of a collector”, which is being exhibited at the Ramón Oviedo Gallery, located at the entity’s headquarters.

Opening the program will take place the colloquium with the title “Who was Guillo Pérez?”, Scheduled for 5:30 in the afternoon, and in which the specialists Willy Pérez, Amalia Linares, Marianne de Tolentino and Gamal Michelén will participate.

The day will continue with “Let’s paint!”, A workshop dedicated to children, which includes a guided tour of the exhibition and is organized by the Guillo Pérez Art School. The activity will take place on Saturday 27, from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon.

This exhibition and the activities that complement it are initiatives that are part of the program of artistic activities that the Ministry of Culture makes available to the public at the Ramón Oviedo Gallery, as a way to project the work of local artists in this space.

Guided tours and the talk “Let’s talk to the collector” had already been carried out previously, with the participation of Juan Portela, owner of the collection that is exhibited in honor of the renowned Dominican artist.

About the exhibition

The exhibition, which brings together 43 works by the prominent master Guillo Pérez, one of the most prolific and important Dominican painters in the use of oil, will remain open to the public until December 17.

Visiting hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, and the sanitary measures established by the authorities are respected.
