Acer Drives Education Forward with AI and EdTech at Edu Summit 2025 Asia Pacific

The Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2025 brought together education experts and tech leaders from across the region to explore the impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on education. The event, held on May 7-8 in Bangkok, drew participants from 11 countries, including Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and Vietnam.

AI-Powered Education Solutions

At the summit, Acer showcased its latest EdTech innovations, including AI-driven solutions designed to enhance teaching methods, reduce administrative burdens, and boost student engagement. Altos Computing, a subsidiary of Acer, unveiled new AI servers and the Altos aiWorks platform. This platform features flexible GPU allocation, allowing multiple users to share resources and collaborate on projects. The solution is particularly useful for educational institutions, enabling students and researchers to work together more effectively.

The Altos BrainSphere R680 F7 Server is a powerful system that supports up to eight GPUs, such as the NVIDIA H200 Tensor Core or RTX Pro 6000 Blackwell Server Edition. This makes it ideal for compute-intensive tasks, complex graphics, and AI workloads. Altos Computing plans to expand its AI server lineup in early Q3 with two new systems: the Altos BrainSphere R880 F6 and Altos BrainSphere R780 F7. These servers will further drive innovation in AI for education, business, and research.

Partnerships and Collaborations

The summit also featured interactive booths from technology partners like Intel, Microsoft, and Google. AOPEN, another Acer subsidiary, showcased its SpatialLabs solutions and Predator gaming brand, demonstrating how e-sports and virtual reality can be applied in the classroom. Acer has partnered with Sripatum University to develop an e-sports education program, providing students with hands-on experience using professional-grade equipment like Acer Predator.

The collaboration aims to equip students with the skills needed to succeed in the digital economy. According to Associate Professor Dr. Kamon Chirapong, Dean of the Faculty of Digital Media at Sripatum University, “The integration of technology in learning is a key priority for Sripatum University, and our partnership with Acer will help drive the growth of the e-sports industry in Thailand.”
