The president of the Association of Sports Chroniclers of Santiago (ACDS), Américo Cabrera and Banreservas announced the awards, Athletes of the Year and Luís Luque Awards to the local sports chronicle, to be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at the Gran Arena del Cibao.
In addition, Cabrera announced that the sports writers affiliated with the ACDS complete the selection of the athletes, while the executive committee puts the final touches on the organization of the activity.
The program includes, in addition to the presidential speech and the awards corresponding to the act, artistic performance and other surprises for the enjoyment of those present.
He took advantage of the occasion to announce that the official sponsorship of the annual event is in charge of Banreservas and the co-sponsorship of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, the Cibao FC Foundation, the Ministry of Education, CORAASAN, Cementos Cibao, PROINDUSTRIA, the Senate of the Dominican Republic and Dominican Municipal League.
Regarding the successful annual award ceremony held last year, the most distinguished athlete was the swimmer from Santiago, Josué Domínguez, while Santana Martínez was the most outstanding sports reporter.
