Ac. Viseu Unveils Squad, Targets Primeira Liga Promotion

A special buzz filled the air in Viseu recently. The historic Adro da Sé, right in the heart of the old city, was alive with anticipation. This wasn’t just any gathering; it was the official introduction of the Académico de Viseu football squad. The team has big hopes for the new season: they want to climb up to the Primeira Liga.

The event felt like a clear statement of intent from the club. Coach Sérgio Vieira spoke plainly about the ambition. He aims to bring Académico de Viseu back to the very top of Portuguese football. His words carried weight, echoing the dreams of many fans.

“We are standing here today with courage and boldness,” Vieira told the crowd. “We want to fight for the dream of making history for Académico.” He challenged the supporters directly. “Fight and suffer with us,” he urged. “In ten months, together, we can live the dream we all want to achieve.” He stressed that any promotion must be “sustained.” This means building a strong future, not just a fleeting moment of glory. Vieira believes the club and his team can “leave a legacy” for Académico de Viseu’s bright future.
