AC Milan gets into the race to sign Lacazette

As reported by prestigious Italian media CalcioMercato on its website, the AC Milan has joined the race to close the signing of Alexander Lacazette in the upcoming winter transfer market, at which point he enters the final six months of his contract with Arsenal and can negotiate with any club to sign as a free agent.

The Frenchman, who has been starting as a midfielder after he won the position from Martin Odegaard in the starting team, has not made a decision about his continuity in London because he feels that it is the ideal opportunity to change to a team that have more aspirations than Arsenal, who are thinking more in the long term than in the short term. He wants to play the UEFA Champions League and reach the 2022 Qatar World Cup in the best possible conditions.

A goal to renew the lead

Milan has joined the bid due to the need they have to add offensive pieces to renew it. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud have been in the elite in recent years, so they need another top-level offensive reference who can lead the club.

On the other hand, the Frenchman becomes a market opportunity that Paolo Maldini does not want to miss.

Lacazette is a high-quality striker who still has the conditions to be important at the highest level, despite the fact that his last years in England have not been the best.

His contractual situation has made him the target of great teams such as Olympique de Marseille, Newcastle United and Atlético de Madrid, who have always shown interest in recent years to replace Luis Suárez. A difficult fight for the rossonero team, which has to move fast to hit the table.
