President Luis Abinader headed the iinauguration of the second expansion stage of the Cano Industrial production plant, which entailed an investment of RD $ 200 million. According to the president of the company, Wadi Cano Acra, this new stage of the company will generate 100 new jobs, a support that was applauded at the opening ceremony by President Abinader.

Cano Acra pointed out that this new stage of the company he presides increase production capacity by 150% in the lines of sealants, coatings and other products related to the construction sector.
The businessman pointed out that this is the continuation of the first stage, which began operations in November 2020.
“Cano Industrial has a total investment of RD $ 600 million intended for the construction phases of the plant of this company that is dedicated to the manufacture of products for the construction sector, the footwear, furniture, food, paper converting and graphic industries industries, as well as in the free zones, export of bananas and others ”, he expressed. Acra spoke at the event held on Cayacoa Industrial Park Street at kilometer 18 of the Duarte Highway, who also highlighted that this company has gone from being an SME to an industry of almost 400 direct employees, exporting its brands to eight countries.
“This growth is the result of diversification based on research, design and development processes in the area of applied chemistry,” explained the executive.
New products
The Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, Víctor -Ito- Bisonó, added that this company bet on innovation in the middle of the pandemic managing to develop new products such as industrial glues for the Free Zones, Cementitious Waterproofing for the Construction Industry and Hand Gel and cleaning products to combat the coronavirus.
