Abinader considers it is the best time for investment

President Luís Abinader considered that the current moment is the best time to invest by ensuring that “the voice of Ibero-America has to be heard” regarding the global economic context.

The Head of State considered that our country must become the open door to Ibero-America by effectively overcoming the difficulties and innovations caused by the pandemic and the effects of the war between Russia and Ukraine, among other global effects.

The president, speaking during the opening of the V CEAPI Ibero-American Congress which takes place at the Punta Cana Resort and Club on the East Coast, considered that entrepreneurship, family business and the role of tourism are among the challenges that sustained growth brings in the current moments, what the Dominican Republic has applied, in the current situation.

Congratulating the forum, where the business leadership of the most important companies, company presidents and business families from Spain meet in an event that is being held outside that country for the first time, he thanked its organizers for the gesture and distinction.

Abinader stressed that Latin America is one of the best markets in Europe and the second world destination for Latin American investments in Spain, for which the forum, with the presence of 190 representatives of leading companies, will provide the projected results.

Optimism
President Luis Abinader valued the efforts that have been made to promote confidence in the economy and he was optimistic that despite the situation that is observed, “this is the best time to invest”, for which he advocated the unity of criteria and joint plans between the productive sectors and the Government.

He considered that with this dynamic and joint vision, the Dominican Government is convinced that the best results will be obtained.

The head of state thanked the president of CEAPI, Nuria Vilanova; Valerín Perez Morodo, Honorary President of CEAPI, Felipe Vicini of INICIA and the organizers, as well as businessman Frank Rainieri and Frank Elías Rainieri, founder and president of Grupo Punta Cana, hosts of the event.

The activity was attended by the Minister of the Presidency and Administration, José Manuel Paliza and Lizandro Macarrulla, Ito Bisonó of Industry and Commerce; Juana Barceló, president of Barrick gold Corporation, Jaime Gilinski, president of the Gilinski Group from Colombia and Daniela Braga, founder of Defined.ai from Portugal, among others.

Abinader advocated for the voice of the Ibero-American countries to be heard when proposing to businessmen and presidents of leading companies in Ibero-America, to focus on the challenges and opportunities facing the region in the era of the new economy.

He stated that: “We are a community of the future and the future is being decided in the present. For this reason, forums like this allow us to be that voice that pushes, pushes and shapes the future.

He gave importance to the elements that will be present in the new economy of the 21st century, such as entrepreneurship and family business, the role of tourism, the energy crisis, digitization and its multiplier effect. “And in this new economy, the Ibero-American voice has to be heard and vindicated”, he emphasized.
