Bollywood director Abhinav Kashyap has publicly accused superstar Aamir Khan of being manipulative and excessively controlling. This follows Kashyap’s previous outspoken criticisms directed at Salman Khan.
Kashyap, who has worked with Khan on multiple advertisement shoots, described the experience as “tiring.” He claimed Khan interferes in every aspect of production, including editing and direction.
According to Kashyap, Khan maintains “an entire ecosystem” for strict control over his work. He referred to Khan as “Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist,” but in a critical light.
In an interview, Kashyap likened Aamir Khan to a “cunning fox,” asserting that Khan is more shrewd and manipulative than both Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. “He is the cleverest fox,” Kashyap stated. “What a manipulative man, and the most cunning.”
Kashyap also criticized Khan’s method of shooting, noting that he often demands numerous takes for a single scene. Despite the many takes and meticulous inspections, Kashyap observed that the first and final versions are frequently “almost identical.”
He questioned the dynamics between Khan and other successful filmmakers. Kashyap wondered why prominent directors like Rajkumar Hirani and Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra often visit Khan’s residence.
Kashyap further cast doubt on Khan’s contributions to society. He specifically referenced the film ‘Dangal’ and its significant box office earnings from China, implying a discrepancy.
