Abdülkadir Ömür, Sevilla’s new goal for the summer

The Seville is working on planning its squad for next season with the intention of staying among the best teams in Spain and being able to win important titles, after a difficult season in which they disappointed in all competitions.

One of Monchi’s main objectives is to reinforce the midfielder area, taking into account the need to renew these areas due to the age of several of their starting players: Fernando Regues and Ivan Rakitic. And one of the names that the sports director from Seville likes the most is Abdulkadir Omur.

Sevilla’s new goal for its midfield

The 23-year-old Turkish midfielder is one of the football sensations in his country in recent years. He stands out for being a versatile player (he can play inside, hitch and midfielder on the right wing) and for his ability to create dangerous opportunities: he finished last season with 7 goals and 4 assists in 33 games played in the Turkish Super League.

Abdülkadir Ömür ends his contract with Trabzonspor, the club in which he was formed since 2014, in the summer of 2024 and there is talk that his market price is 10 million euros. He is a profile for the short and long term, taking into account that he can be the replacement for names like Rakitic, Alejandro Papu Gómez, Óscar Rodríguez and company.

Sevilla is not the only club interested in taking over the Turkish’s services. José Mourinho’s Roma are also aware of their situation, taking into account that they want to put together a squad to fight for the Serie A title.
