Aaron Rodgers confirms thumb fracture; has played injured since Week 5

The Green Bay packers they have struggled to win games in the 2022 NFL season and after 11 weeks are 4-7. Now, Aaron Rodgers confirmed that he has played with a broken right thumb since Week 5.

I think I’ve played with worse injuries. It’s definitely a challenge, but the rest days have helped me feel better this week,” the quarterback said for The Athletic.

Rodgers testified that he suffered the fracture during the last play of the game against the New York Giants in London. Since the injury, A-Rod has averaged 230.8 yards with 21.5 completions of 34.7 attempted. In addition, the Green Bay team has only won one of the six games played in that span.

During the campaign, Rodgers has completed 243 of the 376 passes he’s attempted and accumulates 2,542 yards, 19 passing touchdowns with seven interceptionss. Plus, he’s been constantly punished as he has 21 sacks for 170 negative yards.

The Packers’ schedule before the bye week (Week 14) looks complicated since they will face the Philadelphia Eagles and the Chicago Bears. The Green Bay team will close the 2022 campaign with matchups against the Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and Detroit Lions.

Ruled out surgery

The four-time NFL MVP has ruled out having surgery during or after the season. Since then, Rodgers has been seen with tape around his hand and has had limited participation in Packers practices. According to The Athletic, His rehabilitation has consisted of ball grip work.
