Aamir Khan’s Upcoming Film: List of His Remakes and Inspired Movies

Aamir Khan is no stranger to remakes and inspired films. His upcoming movie, “Sitaare Zameen Par”, is a remake of the Spanish film “Champion” (2018). But this isn’t the first time the actor has taken inspiration from other films. Let’s take a look at some of his notable remakes and inspired works.

Laal Singh Chaddha, released in 2022, was a remake of the Hollywood classic “Forrest Gump” (1994). Although the original was a massive hit, the remake didn’t quite live up to expectations. Directed by Advait Chandan, the film starred Aamir Khan in the lead role.

Another notable remake is “Ghajini” (2008), which was inspired by the Tamil film of the same name. Directed by A.R. Murugadass, the film was a commercial success and featured Aamir Khan in the lead role.

Aamir Khan has also been inspired by Hollywood films in his earlier works. “Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahin” (1991) was inspired by the 1934 film “It Happened One Night”. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the film starred Aamir Khan and Pooja Bhatt in the lead roles.

The 1995 film “Akele Hum Akele Tum” was also inspired by a Hollywood film, “Kramer vs. Kramer” (1979). Directed by Mansoor Khan, the film starred Aamir Khan and Manisha Koirala in the lead roles.

More recently, Aamir Khan produced the film “Laapataa Ladies” (2024), which was accused of plagiarism. The film’s plot and scenes were similarities to the Arabic short film “Burka City” (2019). However, the writer of “Laapataa Ladies” denied the allegations of plagiarism.

These examples show that Aamir Khan is not afraid to take inspiration from other films and cultures. While some of his remakes and inspired works have been successful, others have faced criticism and controversy. Nonetheless, the actor remains one of the most versatile and innovative talents in the Indian film industry.
