Junaid Khan, the son of renowned Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, has chosen a different path in life, staying away from the glamour of the film industry. He made his debut in 2024 with the film Maharaja, which was released on an OTT platform. Now, he is set to enter the big screen with the film Loveyapa, where he will be seen romancing Khushi Kapoor.
In a recent interview with Aaj Tak, Junaid talked about his life as a star kid and shared stories about his real-life experiences. He revealed that before making his acting debut, he worked as an assistant director on his father’s film PK. Junaid said he received a salary of 25,000 rupees per month, which was a significant amount for him at the time. He was 19 years old and still in college, but he chose to work on the film instead of attending classes.
Unlike other star kids, Junaid maintains a low-profile lifestyle, preferring to travel by auto or local train in Mumbai’s traffic. He also doesn’t frequent parties and has no close friendships with other star kids, including Aryan and Ibrahim. Junaid mentioned that he has met them a few times, but they have never really hung out together. He also talked about his fun side, sharing an anecdote about stealing a groom’s shoes at a friend’s wedding. The plan was executed by Junaid and his friends, and they managed to get 21,000 rupees from the groom.
Junaid also opened up about his love life, saying that he fell in love when he was 16 years old. However, it didn’t work out, and he was heartbroken. He wrote a lot of poetry during that time, as he found it difficult to express his feelings. Talking about his upcoming film Loveyapa, Junaid said that he had to rehearse for two to three days to learn the dance steps. He admitted that dancing doesn’t come naturally to him and that he has only danced at weddings a few times. Junaid also mentioned that he has another film lined up with Sai Pallavi, where he won’t be dancing, and that it was a great experience working with her.
