Aamir Khan’s highly anticipated film “Sitare Zameen Par” is facing a setback. Initially, the trailer was set to release on May 8, but it has been postponed indefinitely. Sources close to the production house reveal that the decision was made considering the current situation in the country, with tensions between India and Pakistan escalating.
A Show of Support
The production team wants to stand with the Indian army during this challenging time. A source from Aamir Khan’s production house stated that he is acting as a responsible citizen. The film’s release date is June 20, 2025, but there are rumors that it might be delayed further.
Some reports suggest that instead of releasing on OTT platforms after the theatrical run, “Sitare Zameen Par” might directly premiere on YouTube. Directed by R.S. Prasanna, the film features Aamir Khan and Jhanak Shukla, with Genelia D’Souza also in the cast. In a recent interview, Aamir Khan mentioned that his role in “Sitare Zameen Par” will be distinctly different from his character in “Taare Zameen Par”.
