Aamir Khan and Salman Khan’s cult comedy film ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ is re-released in theaters after nearly 31 years. A special screening was held in Mumbai before the re-release. However, Aamir Khan didn’t attend the screening. In a chat with Bollywood Hungama, Aamir revealed why he missed the event.
Aamir Khan’s Absence
Aamir was deeply disturbed by the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir on April 22. He said, “I was reading reports about what happened in Pahalgam, Kashmir. The senseless killing of innocent people shook me deeply. I wasn’t in the right frame of mind to attend the screening. I’ll catch the film this weekend.”
A Cult Classic Returns
‘Andaz Apna Apna,’ directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, originally hit theaters in 1994. The film starred Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, and Paresh Rawal. Although it didn’t do well at the box office back then, it has since become a cult classic.
