A British woman died after being attacked by a herd of cows while she was on a tour with her dogs in Wales, United Kingdom.
Guilsfield city authorities explained that it all happened on September 1, when about 40 cows attacked her and took her life.
“We can confirm that a woman died after walking her dogs on a public path through a field containing around 40 cows. “The incident occurred in the Maesmawr area of Welshpool,” a spokesman for Dyfed Powys Police said.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) reportedly informed the victim’s family of the incident and announced an investigation to clarify the strange circumstances in which he died.
Authorities are analyzing the hypothesis that the cows apparently attacked the woman when they saw her with the dogs; but that still needs to be confirmed.
“We are aware of this incident and are investigating,” an HSE official said.
Further attacks have already been registered
This is not the first time a person has been injured or killed by a herd of cows in the UK.
The British newspaper Daily Mail revealed that in November 2022, a 75-year-old man also died after being attacked by an angry cow that had escaped from a farm.
Huw Evans was taken to a nearby hospital; but he died a week later due to the wounds left by the cattle.
Another similar case was registered in August 2022 after 30 cows ran over a woman and injured her. The incident strangely occurred while he was walking his dog in the town of Billingshurst (England).
HSE figures show 32 people died in accidents involving cows between 2018 and 2022; This represents 20% of all deaths in the agriculture, forestry and fishing industries.
The story of the woman who died in a cow attack sparked concern among authorities; who still don’t understand why cattle attack people.
