For some time now, the topic of superfoods has resonated with those of us who lead healthy lives. The consumption of these foods brings us countless benefits due to their high nutritional content.

Many of these foods are fruits, some exotic, but others can be home grown depending on the region.

This is the case of persimmon, originating in Asia, whose vitamin C content is high.

It is an orange fruit, with a sweet taste and high fiber content. It is a food suitable for both children and the elderly.

We find persimmons ripe in the fall, like kiwi fruit, avocados, pumpkins or walnuts. Just in time to get ready for winter. Due to its high vitamin C content, persimmon is the key to strengthening our immune system.

Vitamin C is scientifically proven to help fight common cold symptoms and shorten their duration. However, it was not possible to prove that this vitamin can prevent the appearance of this type of health condition.

For every 100 grams of persimmon we get about 66 mg of vitamin C, almost half the recommended daily mg. Its contribution is greater than that of oranges, a fruit closely related to this vitamin throughout the world. On the other hand, the nutritional value of persimmon is quite broad, it is also rich in provitamin A and tannins.
