A suicide blast occurred in Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province, as a result of which the Acting Governor Maulvi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi was killed along with the driver.
According to Afghan media reports, the Governor’s vehicle was targeted by an explosive-laden car in Faizabad, as a result of which Acting Governor Maulvi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi and the driver were killed on the spot.
As a result of the explosion, 6 people were injured who have been shifted to the hospital for immediate medical assistance.
According to media reports, no organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
It should be noted that the Taliban government is carrying out raids against Daesh, which has claimed several major attacks in urban centers.
Taliban administration officials have also been targeted by Daesh, with Daesh claiming the death of the governor of northern Balkh province in March.
