A remake of Rajesh Khanna’s cult film “Bawarchi” is being made and Anushree Mahata has taken over the responsibility

Director Anushree Mehta plans to bring the story of this iconic film to the big screen once again. The director himself revealed this. Let us tell you that Bawarchi was a family comedy that involved a group of actors including Rajesh Khanna, Jaya Bachchan and Asrani. This film was a remake of the 1966 Bengali film Galpo Holeo Satti.

Anushree seems very excited about the remake of Bawarchi. At the same time, the director also described this as a great responsibility. According to Anushree, remaking a classic like Bawarchi is of course a big responsibility. But she made sure she would do it with complete honesty.

Anushree Mehta further said, “He was confident that I could narrate the story in a way that would make him proud. “I have fully agreed to direct this film. We tell you that Anushree Mehta has completed the work of writing the story of Bawarchi remake and the film is expected to hit the theaters in 2024. The film’s casting is underway and the producers want to bring in an A-list star.
