Sri Lanka is currently hosting the three-game ODI series between Pakistan and Afghanistan. In the third game of this series, Pakistan captain Babar Azam made such a mistake at the time of the throw, which is why he is often trolled on social media. After winning the first two games of the ODI series, the Pakistani team made four changes to their eleven games in the third ODI. It also included a name from Saud Shakeel, who will make his ODI debut in 2021.
When Babar informed Azam about the change in his team after the shot won, he named Saud Shakeel as the debutant player. On the other hand, when Shakeel made his debut against England, it was Babar who gave him his debut cap. Due to this mistake by captain Babar Azam, he is now being heavily vilified by fans on social media.
Captain Babar Azam said during the throw that Saud Shakeel is making his debut while he has played five ODIs for Pakistan. WOW!!#PakvsAfg #BabarAzam #crickettwitter pic.twitter.com/0ty0hRyT2k

Saud Shakeel has played 5 ODIs. Why are Babar Azam and now Rameez saying he’s making his debut?#PakvsAfg #AFGvPAK

After winning the toss in the third ODI, the Pakistani team decided to bat first. After losing two wickets on a score of 52, captain Babar Azam shared a 110-run partnership for the third wicket with Mohammad Rizwan to put the team in a strong position. Babar’s racquet completed 60 runs for 86 balls in that game, including 4 fours and 1 six.
On the other hand, Saud Shakeel couldn’t do anything special with the bat. Shakeel returned to the pavilion after being eliminated in that match after scoring just 9 runs. Pakistan set the target of 269 runs for the Afghan team in the third ODI.
