New York (BLAZETRENDS) have ended tragically, with fatalities.
In exclusive statements to CNN, Chris Sánchez, who is part of the security team of the Dukes of Sussex, referred to the persecution to which several photographers subjected them two days ago after leaving the Women of Vision awards gala, which had venue at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, a Manhattan event venue.
“In the end, no one was hurt and the couple arrived safe and sound, but shocked, to the apartment where they were staying,” Sánchez told the US chain.
He added that he had never “seen or experienced anything like it. What we were dealing with was very chaotic. There were about a dozen vehicles: cars, motorcycles and bicycles” around the couple, Sanchez said.
Danger to citizens in pursuit
In his opinion, there was danger even for citizens “at various times. It could have had fatal consequences. (The persecutors) got on the sidewalk and jumped red lights. At one point they blocked the limo (which was carrying the couple) and started taking pictures until we could get out.”
Sánchez expressed his concern for Prince Harry and Meghan to CNN. “But more for the public, because they (the paparazzi) were being very erratic. People were on the sidewalks and crossing streets and (photographers) were running red lights.”
The couple changed cars more than once
The couple changed cars “more than once” during the chase, Sanchez added. In fact, the couple were seen leaving the awards ceremony in a black car and were later seen in a yellow taxi.
After the incident, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were “scared, exhausted, but relieved to be back” at the place where they were staying, he said.

“It would be horrible to have lost an innocent bystander during a chase like this,” the mayor said.
