A 16-month-old boy was later hospitalized serious injuries sustained after being raped in the city of Magdalena, Buenos Aires (Argentina). The suspect in the sexual assault would be a fourteen-year-old teenager, boyfriend of the girl’s mother.
The sexual assault allegedly took place in the family home, according to Argentine media. The mother of the young woman is a girl of fifteen and her current partner is fourteen. According to these media, the mother reported the event and the competent authorities examined the minor, finding several wounds and injuries. “She shows clear signs of rape,” the reports say.
They accused the young man of “sexual abuse” after analysis, this being the prime suspect. The minor has been hospitalized since Friday, after initially being assisted by doctors.
These events are common in Argentina. In recent years, the country has recorded several high-profile cases related to sexual abuse. In June, a 25-year-old man was arrested in El Dorado, Argentina, for allegedly attempting to sexually harass a 12-year-old girl online. A case of solicitation in which the young man tried to stay with the minor, and the family and other inhabitants of the village, after discovering him, beat him leaving him with a disfigured face and on the verge of death.
A few days ago, however, a one-month-old baby died after twelve days of agony. Doctors found signs of cocaine intoxication after he was nursed by his mother, a young woman heavily addicted to the drug. It was learned that he was receiving mechanical respiratory assistance” with hypoxic syndrome and a positive test for cocaine. Subsequent medical reports indicated that his condition was critical, the product of “respiratory failure, treatment refractory hypotension, and severe metabolic disturbances ” until finally the doctors confirmed the death, after 12 days of agony.
